The boys and I set off one day on an adventure hike to find the Eternal Flame Falls. While I was googling things to do in the area, I stumbled across this hike. The eternal flame is actually natural gas, seeping up from a fissure in the rock under a small waterfall.
There were small, blue rectangles nailed to trees every so often marking the path to lead you to the falls and the eternal flame. The trail head markers were a project from a local boy scout group!

It is approximately a mile and a half to the eternal flame and back. It's a pretty easy hike going through the woods, over small creeks, and rocks.

The kids on a "break"...lol...but it looks like they were posing for this picture!

Voila! Here it is...the flame under the small waterfall.

It was actually pretty cool to see:-)

This fallen tree had names tagged all over it. So, of course, I had to tag Elijah and Noah on it!
This turned out to be a very fun and cool adventure for us!
